October 1^st 2011, Fantasies Show Light ( FSL) was delighted to serve Westlife show in Vietnam, one of Westlife’s tours in Asia late 2011. The show was taken place in My Dinh Stadium – the most modern and largest capacity one in Viet Nam.

Production company raised a tough question to FSL as audiences would stand on grass before the stage and on the two-floor, wide-range stand A.

As an experienced light and sound supplier for the Back Street Boys band showed last March, 2011 in Hanoi, Vietnam and other international level events, Mr. NghiaDC – sound engineer of FSL, who spent years of learning in Germany joined hands with Mr. Carlo, Sound engineer from Outline, Italy came to the decision of selecting system Line Array GTO ( 12 pcs GTO, 3 Mantas for Downfill  per side) for FOH and Side Hangs (incl. 16 pcs per side) to cover audiences on the two sides of stage; 2 stack of 3 Mantas & 2 stack of  2 Butter fly were used for center fill and out fill.

The software OpenArray from Outline helped us direct 06 GTOs towards the second floor of stand; 06 GTOs for the first floor and parts on the grass; 03 Mantas covered those who stood nearby the stage; 05 Processor XTA DP448 used to control the whole range of system. DiGiCo SD8 used for Monitor and Midas for FOH. Mr. Mark – Sound engineer of Westlife said: Its very good system.  I was happy as my first time used GTO.

The light system consists of 18 Martin Mac2k profile, 10 Mac2k Wash, 16 Mac301 LED, MacKrypton575, 8 Atomic, 2 Haze K1, 2 Magnum2000Pro and so on were all controlled  by Avolites Expert Titan console with Wing

20,000 audiences enjoyed such a successful music party ever, particularly the sound system. More international standard shows to this country are also expectations of its people.

26th March 2011, “This is us” Backstreet Boys’ tour was held at My Dinh – Vietnam national stadium. This is the final show of world tours in more than a year. My Dinh national stadium – a common venue of big sports and music shows of Hanoi and the local like Seagame, Rockstorm , Happy New Year  events.

To prepared stage designs and requirement of organizer for 25,000 audiences on stands and ground, Fantasies Show Light chooses FOH rig line array includes 40 pcs Butterfly CDH Hi-pack, 16 pcs Mantas, 20 pcs Subtech218 belong to Outline Italia. Delay line for stands includes 30 pcs R5T,16 pcs F218 Sub which are belong to brand Funktion One England. Mr. Zito – BSB’s sound engineer definitely satisfied with the sound system and preparations of Fantasies.

The lighting system used Martin moving head comprise Mac2000-ProfileII, Mac 575 Krypton, Mac600 wash and the first time in Vietnam Mac 301 LED was used. Mr.A.J Pen – Lighting designer made the stage was brilliant follow every step of 4 guys BSB.

The show was either significant to Vietnamese for such a famous band or organizers as local rental companies are today able to provide international standard lighting and sound systems.

” This is us”, the all over the world tour of backstreet boys promote the same name album of Backstreet Boys.It went through 20
European countries and  almost 10 Asian countries.  The next arrival of
that famous band is Quan Khu 7 stadium in 24  and MyDinh stadium in 26 March. The first time one international scale
music shows organized in Vietnam.

At MyDinh stadium, Fantasies workers and technician are installing silently to complete BSB’s stage for preparing the most wanted show.

The stage is on progress.

The sound is one of the most important elements and sound designer require rigorously on BSB tours. The audiences will enjoy one fabulous music show with the
top of sounds created by the top music producing professional Funktion One Butterfly Outline which used to the rock band’s tour like Oasis, Foo fighter or the singer Mc Cartney, Amy Winehouse, Brian Adams or MTV Europe Music Award. The sound systems used 32 Butterfly CDH 483 Hi – pack loudspeakers and 12 Mantas loudspeakers hang on both sides of stages and 20 Sub 218. Besides, to be sure that the sound is loud enough for 50000 audiences. There are 2 Funktion One group of loudspeaker on one side, 12 Resolution 5 and 3 Resolution 4 loudspeaker with 4 tenor loudspeaker F 218 and 4  F 218 MK2 ones used specialize for the stadium audiences.

7th to 11st March, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city, Avolites have coordinated with Fantasies to hold Avolites training. The training course introduced the latest Titan software of Avolites. Mr Luke Kou, sales engineer  of Avolites, touch conscientiously for  student. At the course, people can use and find out the efficient of Tiger Touch console, Pearl Expert consoles.

The training course attracted lighting designers from rental company, from theatre, studio in domestic.

19^th Dec, Fantasies Show Light (FSL) was pleased to provide the famous show called ‘Music Road’ with sound and lighting systems which were live broadcasted every month on channel 3 of Vietnam Television. The show was dedicated to famous artists with their songs.

Music Road in December 2010 was a very special show in the year as it was performed by a couple of artists Mai Hoa and Trong Dai, therefore, the stage was equipped with advanced sound and lighting system ever. Also the National Symphony Orchesta (VNSO) was kindly invited by Mr. Trong Dai to his performance. Such reason is a big question to FSL.

With many instruments in the orchestra, technician still ensured sound for every line in loud clearly. Mixer Midas XL3 and DiGiCo SD9 were chosen to control all monitors on the stage for the show. XL3 console received all lines in instruments of orchestra and SD9 console was charged in line in band and singers. SD8 was responsible for the sound front of house. The DiGiCo consoles was integrated Comp and Gate in every line so sound engineers could limit intensity sound easily and flexibly (very important with the show have big quantities instruments). Besides, this integration saves setting up and place.

Using Outline in the show( 2 sub, 2 Mantas Speaker and 4 Butterfly speaker in one side) was a very interesting experience. Outline often plays outside, but this time with warm bass sound of Sub 218 spread over the room cooperate with the famous console DiGiCo, they made amazing sound. This was a pop musical show, when edit gain moderately, audiences can enjoy sharpen sound of instrument.

The difficulty of live broadcasting was to ensure sound on TV steady and nice like watching live.  SD8 console could solve problem. It made a good signal to broadcasting car. More than that, it created multidimensional bank which made sound engineer is very convenient in controlling different audio group on stage.

“Music road” show by two famous artists finished brilliantly. FSL received praise and thanks from artist. This is the most motivation for sound and lighting suppliers like us.

The show is pleased to have performances by two Vietnamese famous band rocks of Vietnam like Astray Filled, Pentatonic and famous singers such as Minh Thu, Maya, and Doan Trang…

The show cannot be said successful if it is not played by the sound and lighting system of Fantasies Show light (FSL) team.

For the first time, Fantasies controls SD8 – the modern digital generation mixer, including super FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) technology – the future technology. Allied to the already powerful SHARC processor, it is used in the centre of every DiGiCo console and the latest powerful Tiger SHARC.

SD8 has manual functions, focusing on reducing maximum manipulation of technicians, particularly the integrating graphic equalizer. 15 inch-wide touch screen, it is very easy to see clearly signal from graphic equalizer. More than that, SD8 is very flexible with 60 mono and/or stereo channels – equivalent to 120 channels of analog consoles.

The sound quality is the first criteria to determine the best mixer console. “Sound of Mid is very clear, it helps sharpen voice of MC and singers, sound of bass is great, powerful and sound of Hi is very mild” Mr. Nguyen Bao Lan – General Director of Fantasies said.

The festival night was over with success and satisfaction of singers, bands and organizers.
